Dance isn't only for the young and agile.
The Lincolnshire Dance course "Freedom in Dance" is here to teach professional
dance leaders and others how to work safely with older people in the field of dance.
The next Freedom in Dance course starts in February 2011!
Contact Lincolnshire Dance for more information or see the slide show on our Videos page.
If you are
- a dance graduate looking for a new challenge;
- a member of the caring profession who thinks
there should be more to retirement than bingo
and soap operas;
- a dancer looking to bring dance to a neglected
sector of the community;
- a health worker seeking ways to bring
enjoyable exercise to the over 50s;
then this is the website for you!
The Freedom in Dance course is validated by the National Open College Network.

(Sarah - 2010 course:
... We consistently help each other in developing movement material which is so valuable. I’ve enjoyed listening too and exploring different dance styles, analysing the different aspects of the physical, emotional, mental benefits of dancing with older people...)
We can work with any dance genre, we have had course participants who specialise in ballet, jazz, street, contemporary, and belly dance to name but a few - all our course participants share with and learn from each other.
